Metro Bank colleagues participated in ‘Bring a Curry to Work Day’ at its Leicester call centre office. Twenty colleagues cooked and contributed with 30 colleagues enjoying their homemade lunch raising over £80 for a local hospice.
LOROS Hospice is a local charity and every year they care for over 2,500 people across Leicestershire and Rutland. The charity delivers free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill patients, their family and carers – delivering care that is special and unique to each individual.
‘’As a community bank, we want to play an active role in helping those in need locally,’’ explains Matthew Gill, Borrower Services Team Leader. ‘We spend a small fortune buying lunch every day, so instead we asked colleagues to help bring a curry to work for just one day to fundraise for this fantastic local charity which helps so many people across the county. Thanks to everyone who participated - the food was delicious and varied – the perfect lunch.’’
Anyone who wishes to donate to LOROS can either call (0116) 231 8431, or donate online here.
