The second adopt-a-thon at Metro Bank took place in our Bromley store this weekend. Battersea Dogs and Cats Home brought some of their 4 legged friends who all needed loving new homes to go to and the people of Bromley took to the High Street to come and meet them.
After a difficult week in many parts of London the staff at Bromley with the support of Battersea and the Kennel Club, brought some much needed excitement and fun to Bromley High Street. Balloons lined the pavements and 8 dogs were showing themselves off to try to win the affection of a new owner. Battersea Dogs and Cats Home interviewed a number of families all of which are keen to start the adoption process and the Kennel Club were on hand to give advice as to how you should look after your dog and which shops/restaurants (and most importantly Banks) are “Open For Dogs”.
Paul Marriott Clarke joined the fun on Sunday and said “This is our second adopt-a-thon and I want to thank everyone involved for the energy and enthusiasm they have put into making it a success. We are going to be making this a monthly event and we know each store will be excited to find out when it will be their turn to have these fantastic dogs coming to visit them. I’d also like to thank our partners at Battersea and the Kennel Club who have helped to make this event really special”.
