Metro Bank Arrives In Style Bringing Its Award-Winning Customer Service To Ashford High Street

• Award-winning customer centric store will be open seven-days-a-week, 362 days a year, from early in the morning until late at night
• Grand Opening celebrations to take place on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 December

Metro Bank, the revolution in British banking, is arriving on-time and on-schedule with a two-day long Grand Opening in Ashford, Kent on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 December.

Located in central Ashford at 95 Ashford High Street, a mere 5-minute walk from Ashford International Station, the launch party will have something for everyone, from free manicures, face-painting and shoe shining, to music, popcorn and dog shows.

Kicking off at 8am on Friday, the store will create around 25 permanent new jobs for local people, and combine traditional face-to-face relationship banking, with state-of-the-art technology, providing residents and businesses with an award-winning banking experience.

The bank, open from early in the morning until late at night, seven-days-a-week, will service the growing needs of over 6,000 local businesses in one of the fastest growing regions of the UK. Offering free business networking sessions, event space for community projects and meetings, as well as its free financial education programme Money Zones for local schools and youth groups, the store will act as a hub for the local community. 

The store will be officially opened by the Mayor of Ashford, Cllr Jessamy Blanford, who will be cutting the ribbon, alongside the bank’s Local Director, Kerri Miller and Store Manager, Daniel Shade.

The store will offer Magic Money Machines for customers and non-customers alike to count their coins free of charge, instant current account opening, safe deposit boxes for valuables, and the ability to print new and replacement debit and credit cards on the spot.

What’s more, appointments aren’t needed, meaning customers can pop in at a time convenient to them, with all Metro Bank stores open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Fridays, 8am to 6pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sundays and bank holidays, 362 days a year.
