Metro Bank, the revolution in British banking, unveils its brand new London store with a two-day-long party in historic Putney, home of the world famous University Boat Race on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 December.
The award-winning bank is inviting businesses, residents and four legged friends to join in its grand opening extravaganza. With celebrations kicking off at 8am on Friday, there will be something for everyone, from free manicures and face-painting, to music and popcorn.
The store will be officially opened by local Mayor Cllr Piers McCausland, who will be cutting the ribbon, alongside the bank’s Local Director, Anthony Hicks and Store Manager, Alex Willson.
Craig Donaldson, CEO at Metro Bank said: “We’re delighted to be opening in Putney and providing local people and businesses with real choice about how they bank. Whether you simply want the convenience of having a store available when you need it with colleagues ready to help, or you’re looking for the personal touch when it comes to managing your own or your business’ finances; we’re ready to make a real difference to the way local residents and businesses bank.”
Nicola Grant, Executive Director at Putney BID commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Metro Bank to Putney in such a prominent place in Putney High Street. It will be convenient for local businesses and residents especially with the extended opening hours.”
Located at 89-93 Putney High Street, just a short walk from Putney Bridge, the store will offer Magic Money Machines for customers and non-customers alike to count their coins free of charge, safe deposit boxes, instant account opening, and the ability to print new and replacement debit and credit cards on the spot. What’s more, appointments aren’t needed, meaning customers can pop in at a time convenient to them, with all Metro Bank stores open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Fridays, 8am to 6pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sundays and bank holidays, 362 days a year.
