The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, hosted a Grand Opening for its new Bradford store on Saturday 16th October when the store was officially opened by Bradford’s Deputy Mayor, Cllr Beverley Mullaney.
Hosted by Metro Bank local director Fraser Anderson and store manager Denis Charlotte, Bradford residents and families turned out en masse to join in the celebrations including stilt walkers, face painters and a resident DJ.
Fraser Anderson, Bradford Metro Bank’s local director says: “We are overwhelmed by the reception we have received from the local community even though we have only been open for a couple of months. We have seen a steady increase in new personal and business accounts openings and our safe deposit boxes have proved particularly popular.”
Metro Bank opened its 78th store in Bradford in August creating 20 new jobs for the area. Bradford is Metro Bank’s most northern based store and serves local residents and businesses seven days a week. .
