Metro Bank’s Colchester store will be celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) on Thursday March 9th from 6:30-8:30pm with a complimentary evening event in partnership with Ambitious Women in Essex (AWiE).
AWiE is an initiative set up by Eve Calderbank on behalf of Essex County Council which celebrates and supports local women in business. During the evening, there will be talks from some of the local members of the AWiE community about entrepreneurship and the importance of networking.
International Women's Day celebrates women's rights and inspires people to act in the ongoing fight for gender equality - this year’s IWD theme is Embrace Equity.
‘’Anyone is welcome to come along and attend this event,’’ explains Colchester Metro Bank’s Business Manager, Neethyan Anandan. “As a signatory of the Investing in Women Code, we actively support women in business and we are looking to celebrate International Women’s Day in all our stores. We’re committed to supporting women with access to tools, resources and finance and supporting them in the three key areas they struggle with namely networking, funding and mentoring.”
