Newbury Metro Bank is hosting an event for Project Salama on Thursday March 23rd from 5.30pm – 7pm at its Northbrook store.
Project Salama supports those in abuse relationships by providing emotional, practical support and services to help people who face challenging situations compounded by abuse. The charity helps them to understand their rights and helps them seek the help that they need. Salama is Swahili for safe, it also means ‘safety’, ‘security’, or ‘integrity’.
Trustees from the charity will be speaking during the course of the evening to local business owners and professionals about the work they do in the community as part of an informal networking event.
“Metro Bank recently joined the Safe Space scheme to help victims of domestic abuse,” explains Newbury Metro Bank Local Director Ashley Keen. “As a community bank, we want to be able to support and help everyone locally and the work that Project Salama do is integral to providing practical, effective support to those in real need.”
Places can be reserved here at this complimentary event.
