Metro Bank’s Sheffield store donated over 50 items and nearly £100 to help support the Sheffield Community Churches Council for Community Care (SCCCC) as part of its Christmas Community Campaign to spread the warmth this winter. In recognition of the current cost of living challenges. Metro Bank donated £35,000 to over 70 community charities, all of which are local to its stores, instead of having a Christmas tree in each store. £500 was donated to the SCCCC.
The SCCCC provides services that improve wellbeing and quality of life for older and vulnerable people. Their goal is to positively transform lives, meet needs and eradicate loneliness.
Sheffield residents and businesses donated some of the items the charity urgently needed including food and drink.
‘’We would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who supported our campaign this Christmas,” explains Sheffield Metro Bank Store Manager, Chris Gore. ‘’As a community bank, we are really proud that we were able to make a difference in some small way and help the SCCCC continue the amazing work they do.’’
Metro Bank’s Sheffield store is located at 58-64 Fargate, Sheffield, S1 2HE. The store is open Monday – Saturday: 8:30am - 6pm. Sunday: 11am - 5pm.
