Metro Bank Arrives In The East Midlands With New Northampton Store

• Grand Opening celebrations to take place on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 November
• Free coin counting machines and over 2,000 safe deposit boxes on offer for the whole community
• New bank will be open early until late, seven-days-a-week, 362 days a year

Metro Bank, the revolution in British banking, is officially unveiling its brand-new Northampton store on Friday 16 November. To mark its first foray into the East Midlands, the award-winning bank is inviting businesses, residents and the town’s pets to a two-day grand opening extravaganza.

The family-friendly event — which is promised to be a real showstopper — will feature stilt walkers, DJs and even free manicures and face painting on offer. Andrew Lewer, MP for Northampton South and Deputy Lieutenant, Adrian Pryce will officially open the store, along with the bank’s hosts Local Director, Kerry Reynolds and Store Manager, Mark Griffiths.

Northampton residents and neighboring communities will be able to pop in without an appointment and in most cases, open a personal or business account on-the-spot, leaving with a printed debit card, along with internet and mobile banking all set-up..The brand-new seven-day-a-week store will have over 2,000 safe deposit boxes for customers to store their valuables and free coin counting facilities for children and adults alike.

The new store is located 27-29 Abington Street, NN1 2AN and will have customer toilets, baby changing facilities and treats for friendly pets. All Metro Bank stores are open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Fridays, 8am to 6pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sundays and bank holidays, 362 days a year.
