Northampton Metro Bank store will be hosting a breakfast networking event in honour of International Women’s Day on Friday March 8th from 8.30am -10am at its Abington Street store.

Andrea Gallo, a member of Metro Bank’s financial crime operations team recently volunteered again for Feast With Us, a registered charity fighting against food poverty in the four London boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Haringey and Islington.

Colleagues from Metro Bank’s Guildford based asset finance team braved the winter weather to play in the Simply Asset Finance 5-a-side charity football tournament – helping to raise over £7,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Last year Metro Bank saw a more than 50% increase in romance scams and latest UK Finance data shows scammers earned £18.5m in the first six months of last year – that’s a staggering £102,209 a day or more than £4,000 every hour.

Metro Bank colleagues from the Solihull store have delivered Money Zone – financial education workshops – to 90 pupils from Greswold Primary School. The aim of the complimentary workshop is to raise financial awareness in students.
Peterborough Metro Bank hosts a monthly complimentary Business Breakfast networking event in its Long Causeway store on the first Wednesday of every month and the next one is Wednesday February 7th from 8.30 – 10am.
Metro Bank colleagues from the Ealing store have delivered Money Zone – financial education workshops – to 15 special needs students aged between 16 and 17. The aim of the complimentary workshop is to raise financial awareness in students.
Oxford Metro Bank is sponsoring the SME of the Year category in this year’s Oxfordshire Business Awards. SME or Small/Medium-sized Enterprises comprise 99% of all UK businesses.
