To mark International Women’s Day, Aylesbury Metro Bank will host its first networking event since lockdown. This is an in-store event for local businesses to meet, share ideas and find new ways to grow their business. The event will take place on Tuesday 8th March at 6.30pm.
During the event, there will be a presentation on World Vision – an international charity with a focus on ‘strong women’, what they do and how they’ve been able to transform the lives of children around the world.
Guests will also have the opportunity to hear from one of Metro Bank’s own “Strong Women” Nilany Vasantharasan and the challenges her mother faced bringing her and her brothers out of a war torn Sri Lanka where they were being persecuted. Today, Nilany is Aylesbury’s Metro Bank assistant store manager – her story is both emotional and inspirational.
“There are many challenges running and growing a business so we want to focus on areas where we can make real practical improvements, including helping with access to finance and expertise to help grow businesses,” explains Lorna Nichol, Aylesbury Metro Bank local director.” “We look forward to seeing everyone join us at this empowering event.”
