As a community bank, Metro Bank works with lots of local and community charities. Peterborough Metro Bank’s Local Business Manager, James Zimmer-Smith enjoyed a bucket list day out recently when he joined the Red Arrows Trust – which is a customer of the Bank – as it made its annual donations recently at RAF Scampton.
The Red Arrows Trust is the official charity for Red Arrows’ merchandise. Each year the charity makes grants to charities which support serving and veteran RAF personnel and their dependents, educate the public about the RAF and other air forces, or are closely associated with interests of the current Red Arrows team.
Before the cheque presentation - which included £3,000 to the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance - the attendees were treated to the Red Arrows Team in action with a 20 minute air display.
“The joy of working for Metro Bank is that I get to see so many different aspects of life by working with lots of different companies and charities,” commented James Zimmer-Smith, Local Business Manager at Peterborough Metro Bank. “This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to get up close and personal to this world renowned team and those that support them. Truly thrilling.”
Peterborough Metro Bank is located at 29 Long Causeway, Peterborough, PE1 1YJ. The store is currently open Monday – Saturday: 8.30am - 6pm. Sunday: 11am - 5pm.
