Metro Bank’s Bexleyheath store is collecting Easter Egg donations to help support Bexley Food Bank as part of its Easter appeal.
Bexley Food Bank believes no one in the community should have to face going hungry. That’s why they provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
Bexleyheath residents and businesses can donate any size Easter Egg at its Broadway Shopping Centre store.
“Easter is a highlight for chocolate treats in any kid’s calendar and as a community bank we want to really help everyone be able to celebrate despite the challenging economic times,” explains Bexleyheath Metro Bank Store Manager, Emma Bell. “We want to spread that joy by collecting as many Easter Eggs as possible to donate to the community. Bexleyheath’s generosity has meant we have already received several donations and we are hoping to collect at least 30.”
Metro Bank’s Bexleyheath store is located at 66-68b The Broadway Shopping Centre, Bexleyheath, DA6 7JN. The store is open Monday to Saturday: 8.30am to 6pm, Sundays: 11am to 5pm.
