Nine Brighton colleagues from the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, have raised £935 to celebrate Rockinghorse Children’s Charity’s 55th anniversary by walking from Eastbourne to Brighton.
Over the past five decades, Rockinghorse Children’s Charity has touched the lives of thousands in the community, providing life-saving medical services and equipment for sick children in Sussex.
To mark this emerald themed milestone, Brighton colleagues decided to walk twenty three miles to fundraise and honour the charity’s work in the community. They started in Eastbourne at 8.30am, walking along the coastal route and finishing at Brighton Pier at 5.30pm.
Metro Bank colleagues who participated were Stephen Cotton, Alicia Curd, Jack Richardson, Robbie Chalmers, Max Walton, Scarlet Clementson, Lester Ferguson, Martin Chandler and Will Carter.
“As a community bank we are proud to support such a cherished local charity,” explains Stephen Cotton, Brighton Metro Bank’s Store Manager. “We stand with the rest of the Brighton community in celebrating Rockinghorse Children’s Charity which has been and continues to be such a blessing to so many local residents and families.”
