Metro Bank, the community bank, recently welcomed Catherine West, Member of Parliament for Hornsey and Wood Green to its High Road store.
Hosted by Metro Bank’s Local Director, Daryl Heard, and Store Manager, Hamad Awan, Catherine enjoyed a tour of the bank, including its safe. Catherine was interested in discussing current hot topics such as mortgages and the role of the high street bank, as well as ways of preventing fraud and money laundering.
“It was a pleasure spending time with Catherine,” said Daryl Heard, Local Director at Metro Bank Wood Green. “We talked about Metro Bank’s local fundraising activities including the recent charity football event organised for Mind in Haringey, an organisation Catherine has supported for some time, as well as discussing how we are able to open accounts for elderly and vulnerable people who don’t have a photo ID. It was such an enjoyable visit and we hope to see her again soon.”
Hamad Awan, Store Manager at Metro Bank Wood Green said: “I was pleased to discuss my position as vice chair of the local BID and how Metro Bank is helping local businesses during these difficult times and even mentioned our involvement in local career fairs.”
Metro Bank’s Wood Green store is located at 136A High Rd, London N22 6EB. The store is open Monday – Saturday: 8.30am - 6pm and Sunday: 11am - 5pm and opens personal and business accounts daily, with or without an appointment.
