The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, welcomed Jo Stevens, Member of Parliament for Cardiff Central to its Queen Street store last week.
Hosted by Metro Bank local director Khushboo Patel, Jo Stevens enjoyed a tour of the bank including its safe. She admired the store architecture and was impressed with the space available to the community in the store, and enjoyed hearing about Metro Bank’s commitment to local schools to deliver free financial education.
“As a community bank, we are here to support our local businesses as well as Cardiff residents,” explains Cardiff Metro Bank’s local director, Khushboo Patel. “Jo was impressed with the free Money Zone financial education we offer to local schools for Key Stage Two pupils – with three key sessions on budgeting, saving and banking. Metro Bank has delivered its Money Zone programme to over 50,000 school children – in both Welsh and English and we have been able to continue to deliver this virtually during the pandemic too, which has been brilliant.”
