- Metro Bank’s first ‘drive to’ store opens in Chiswick on Friday 18th May with gala opening celebrations
- Store open seven days a week from 8am – 8pm – banking when the customer wants to bank
- No stupid bank rules: Metro Bank won’t charge any customers to use debit cards overseas at ATM’s OR point of sale
The banking revolution gathers pace this week as Metro Bank continues with its 2012 expansion plans. The 18th and 19th of May sees Britain’s newest bank opening its 12th store in Chiswick, West London. Chiswick residents visiting the store will experience two days of entertainment including stilt walkers, popcorn, balloons and music as well as a new, convenient customer focused bank.
Metro Bank is fulfilling its promise to become the new local bank on every high street. The Chiswick store is Metro Bank’s first ‘drive to’ store, providing parking spaces for customers and cementing its reputation for customer convenience.
In store, customers can use the free coin counting Magic Money Machines, enjoy instant issue debit cards** and cheque books** as well as safe deposit boxes. New account holders will be delighted that they can use their debit and credit cards overseas without any charge from Metro Bank, whether they are withdrawing cash from an ATM or at point of sale.*
All of these benefits can be enjoyed at a time that is convenient to local residents and businesses as Metro Bank is open 8am – 8pm Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm Saturday and 11am – 5pm Sunday and bank holidays, 361 days a year.
Over 70,000 customers and businesses have flocked to experience Metro Bank’s amazing service since its launch in 2010, and the Chiswick opening is the latest step in Metro Bank’s expansion plans to open 200 stores by 2010. Further stores in Watford, Ealing, Reading, Staines, Epsom and Hemel Hempstead are set to open this year.
Craig Donaldson, Chief Executive Officer at Metro Bank, said: “Metro Bank’s success is a triumph for customer service. We know what customers want and they are flocking to us for the unparalleled service and convenience we offer. At a time when other banks are closing their doors, we can’t wait to open our newest store in Chiswick.
“We’d like to welcome all local individuals and businesses to come and help us celebrate. Metro Bank has and continues to bring a completely new, convenient and customer focused way of banking and we look forward to our Chiswick store becoming a centre point of the community and making a difference to the way that the town banks.“
The new Chiswick Metro Bank store can be found at 137 Chiswick High Road, London, W42 ED. Metro Bank is planning to open a further eight stores across London and the Home Counties this year and is still the only high street bank to be granted a full service banking licence by the FSA in the last 2 years.
