Metro Bank, the revolution in British banking, is bringing its award-winning customer service to the bright lights of Piccadilly, with a two-day extravaganza on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 December.
The doors will be opened to everyone from across Mayfair, whether they’re a frequent guest at The Ritz hotel located directly opposite the store, a frequenter of the world famous Fortnum and Mason department store down the road, or perhaps even a royal corgi from around the corner – everyone is welcome to join in with the Grand Opening celebration. With festivities kicking off at 8am on Friday, there will be something for everyone, from free manicures and face-painting, to music and popcorn.
The store will be officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Westminster, Cllr Lindsey Hall who will be cutting the ribbon, alongside the bank’s Local Director, John Harrison and Store Manager, Lucy Birch.
Craig Donaldson, CEO at Metro Bank said: “Opening our 64th store in such an iconic location is a real triumph for us, and goes to show the success of our model, which unites the very best in customer service and convenience. Our continued expansion across Britain is empowering communities and businesses and providing them with real choice about who they bank with. Our latest store in Piccadilly will provide local people and SMEs with more than just a place to do their banking, it will be a hub to support them, whether it’s through a networking or charity event, or simply the ability to speak to someone face-to-face seven days a week, 362 days a year. I am very much looking forward to meeting everyone at the launch party for one of our now famous Grand Openings.”
Ros Morgan, Chief Executive of the Heart of London Business Alliance commented: “We are always delighted to welcome innovative businesses to the Heart of London area and Metro Bank sits firmly in that category. Whether it is banking services for local businesses or personal products for consumers, the new Metro Bank store certainly adds to the broad range of professional services on offer today in Piccadilly.”
Located at 75 Piccadilly, across the road from royal Green Park and in sight of The Ritz, the store will offer safe deposit boxes for customer valuables, instant retail current account opening, the ability to print new and replacement debit and credit cards on the spot, and Magic Money Machines for customers and non-customers alike to count their coins free of charge.
Customers can pop in any time which is convenient to them, appointments aren’t required, with all Metro Bank stores open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Fridays, 8am to 6pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sundays and bank holidays, 362 days a year. What’s more, stores actively welcome dogs, with a selection of goodies including fresh water bowls and treats on offer.
