Metro Bank announces 2012 expansion plans: 10 new stores to open in the South East, 300+ new hires

Metro Bank, Britain's revolutionary retail bank today announces its expansion plans for 2012. The bank plans to double their number of stores to 20 by opening 10 new stores across Greater London and the South East of England including:

  • High Wycombe
  • Reading
  • Ealing
  • Chiswick
  • Romford
  • Hemel Hempstead
  • Watford
  • Brighton
  • Staines
  • The City

Each new store will feature Metro Bank’s unique seven day retail service with unrivalled opening hours of 8am till 8pm during the week, 8am - 6pm and 11am - 5pm at the weekends. All stores will continue to be child and dog friendly with balloons and lollies for the kids, customer toilets and baby changing facilities, Magic Money Coin Counting Machines, and dog bowls and dog biscuits for our four legged friends.

Metro Bank will also continue its rapid recruitment programme, with the addition of over 300 new positions through the network in 2012. Metro Bank is committed to giving employment opportunities to young people in the community of their stores, with over 60% of Metro Bank’s existing team members between the ages of 18 - 30. This year Metro Bank will employ almost double their numbers of staff, creating new jobs for hundreds of individuals.
