Ealing residents visiting the store will experience an array of entertainment; including stilt walkers, face painting, performing dogs, balloons and music, as well as a new, convenient customer focused bank.

The new Ealing Metro Bank store can be found at The Town House, The Broadway, Ealing, W5 2PH. The team is looked after by Local Director Jasbir Baidwan and Store Manager Clare Chamberlain.

Unlike any other bank in the UK, Metro Bank provides free coin counting for customers and non-customers with Metro Bank Magic Money Machines, replacements for lost or stolen debit cards on the spot*, as well as safe deposit boxes, and a 24 hour contact centre manned by people not machines. In addition, Dogs Rule at Metro Bank, so customers are invited to bring their canine friends along with them.

All of these benefits can be enjoyed at a time that is convenient to local residents and businesses as Metro Bank is open 8am – 8pm Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm Saturday and 11am – 5pm Sunday and bank holidays, 362 days a year.

Craig Donaldson, Chief Executive Officer at Metro Bank, said: “Metro Bank’s model is simple – we want to give customers unparalleled levels of service and convenience, whether that’s in store, online or by telephone – and that’s why over 170,000 personal and business customers have joined us since we opened our doors in 2010.

“Our job is to make banking easy for all our customers. Metro Bank is a community bank and each of our stores is run by a local bank manager who works closely with the community to really understand their needs. This means we live and breathe our motto of ‘Local Bankers Making Local Loans’. We’re delighted that the people of Ealing now have a bank that’s open seven days a week at times that suit them, and we look forward to working closely with local people and businesses to make a difference to the way Ealing banks!”

The Ealing opening is the latest step in Metro Bank’s expansion plan to open up to 200 stores by 2020. Further stores in Milton Keynes and the City of London are planned for 2013. Metro Bank is still the only high street bank to be granted a full service banking license in the last 100 years.
