Over the first two weeks of September, five local Milton Keynes businesses hosted ‘Bank at Works’, which saw Metro Bank visit the organisations’ workplaces giving employees the opportunity to do their banking from their desks.
Colleagues from the Midsummer Arcade store and the Oakgrove Village store visited Boots and Krispy Kremes in Centre MK, Pure Gym on Snowdon Drive, KFC Xscape and Subway in Conniburrow.
‘Bank at Work’ provides employees with one-on-one assistance and the opportunity to open accounts, find out about products and services, and meet the local team - all without leaving their workplace.
Brian Woolrich, Regional Director at Metro Bank said: “Getting to know the local community is really important to us, and ‘Bank at Work’ provides a great opportunity to really get out there and talk to local people and businesses about what they’re looking for in a banking partner and what makes Metro Bank different.
“We understand how busy people are and we pride ourselves on offering a convenient alternative to the traditional high street bank, so it’s really great to be able to bring the bank right to the doorsteps of local businesses. Our stores are also open early in the morning to late at night, 7 days a week, 362 days a year, and people can also make use of our call centres and personal banking app 24/7.”
Milton Keynes is the only town outside of London to boast two Metro Bank stores: the Midsummer Arcade store opened in January this year and the new Oakgrove Village opened in May. Metro Bank plans to open a further five stores by the end of the year, with up to 200 stores planned by 2020.
