- Customer-focussed bank to open in Ilford
- New Metro Bank store will create around 25 jobs for local community
Metro Bank, the revolutionary retail and business bank, is set to open a new store in Ilford later this year. The bank prides itself on providing customers with a superior banking experience and unparalleled levels of customer service and convenience.
Ilford residents will benefit from the new store being open seven days a week, early until late, 362 days a year. Unlike any other bank, Metro Bank provides instant account opening, along with on-the-spot card printing for lost or stolen bank cards. All stores offer safe deposit boxes for customers’ valuables and free coin counting for customers and non-customers alike.
Iain Kirkpatrick, Managing Director of Retail Banking at Metro Bank commented: “We’re excited to be opening a new store right in the heart of Ilford. Making banking simple and convenient is a key priority for us and we’re thrilled to bring residents a bank that truly believes the customer is king.
“Not only do we value face-to-face relationships, but we recognise the importance of providing those services that people want and need. From thousands of safe deposit boxes for customers to store their valuables, available to reserve online even before the store has opened to instant account opening, we’ve designed our services with our customers in mind. What’s more, our store doesn’t just help people to do their banking, it will also create around 25 careers for local people, as well as provide a hub for networking and community events. Ilford is a vibrant and diverse community that we can’t wait to be a part of and we’ll be celebrating our move to the town with two days of grand opening festivities, later this year.”
The bank sources the very best locations for its stores and is proud to make an investment in Ilford’s town centre, securing a prominent location at 114 High Road, Ilford, Essex, IG1 1BY.
All stores are open at the most convenient time for local residents and businesses from 8am to 8pm Monday to Fridays, 8am to 6pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sundays and bank holidays, 362 days a year.
