Concerned about the rising crime rate in Southend, the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, recently co-hosted an event with the local Neighbourhood Watch to raise awareness about safety within the local community.
“As a community bank we are in tune with the concerns of our local community,” says James Farmer, Southend Metro Bank’s store manager. “Considering the increase in crime rates, we wanted to host this event to encourage residents to be more alert and mindful of their security. Anyone concerned about theft may wish to consider renting a safe deposit box for peace of mind.”
Whether you have personal treasures, family heirlooms or important documents, Southend Metro Bank has over 2000 safe deposit boxes to keep valuables safe and secure - but not cash because unlike the movies it’s not legal to keep cash in a safe deposit box!
The boxes are available in five different sizes and anyone interested in renting one can visit the London Road store for more information.
Throughout the year, Metro Bank hosts a range of seasonal events as well as charity fundraisers and networking sessions for local residents and businesses.
Metro Bank’s Southend store is located at G19-G21 The Victoria Centre, Southend-on-Sea SS1 2NG. The store is currently open Monday – Saturday 08:30am - 6pm. Sunday: 11am - 5pm.
