Metro Bank continues its fast paced expansion with the opening of its 27th store in Milton Keynes; its third store of 2014. To mark the opening, the UK’s most revolutionary bank will be holding two days of celebrations on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th May. Milton Keynes residents and businesses visiting the store will experience an array of entertainment; including stilt walkers, face painting, performing dogs, balloons and music, and most importantly, a new convenient customer focused bank for personal and business customers.

Following the opening of its first store in the MK Centre in January and huge support from the Milton Keynes community, Metro Bank will be opening its second store in the town, which will further broaden its offering to local personal and business customers. Milton Keynes will now be the only town - outside of Central London - to boast two Metro Bank stores. Metro Bank has seen great demand in the area and will continue to revolutionise banking for the local business and personal communities.

The new Milton Keynes Metro Bank store can be found at Oakgrove Village, Milton Keynes, MK10 9SU. Customers will be looked after by a team led by Regional Director Brian Woolrich and Store Manager Gavin Sharp.

Metro Bank launched in July 2010 with a focus on providing unparalleled levels of service and convenience to customers. It is bringing back traditional retail banking, coupled with amazing technology. Unlike any other bank in the UK, Metro Bank also provides free coin counting for customers and non-customers with Metro Bank Magic Money Machines, instant printing and replacements for lost or stolen debit cards*, and a 24 hour contact centre manned by people not machines. What’s more, Dogs Rule at Metro Bank, so customers in Milton Keynes are invited to bring their canine friends along with them to receive their own treats.

All of these benefits can be enjoyed at a time that is convenient to local residents and businesses as Metro Bank is open 8am – 8pm Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm Saturday and 11am – 5pm Sunday and bank holidays, 362 days a year.

Customers wishing to reserve a Safe Deposit Box at the Milton Keynes Oakgrove store, can do so online in advance of the opening by visiting here.

“As a fast developing town, Milton Keynes is a fantastic community to be in and we are delighted to have found another great location to serve it from. We look forward to welcoming even more personal and business customers in Milton Keynes to join us on our journey as we revolutionise banking.”

Mark Lancaster, MP for Milton Keynes North commented: "On behalf of the residents and business people of Milton Keynes, I am delighted to welcome Metro Bank’s second store to the town. I’m confident that its commitment to local banking and building community relationships will continue to make a significant difference to the way our local community bank.”
