Metro Bank’s Tunbridge Wells store donated nearly 100 items and £500 to help support Nourish Community Foodbank as part of its Christmas Community Campaign to spread the warmth this winter. In recognition of the current cost of living challenges. Metro Bank donated £35,000 to over 70 community charities, all of which are local to its stores, instead of having a Christmas tree in each store.
Tunbridge Wells residents and businesses donated some of the items Nourish Community Foodbank urgently needed including food and drink.
Nourish Community Foodbank offers a helping hand to people across the whole borough of Tunbridge Wells and South Tonbridge. The foodbank works hard to find a solution to the problems of those most in need. The foodbank made 878 deliveries throughout December and also issued 405 government fuel vouchers with a total value of just under £20,000.
‘’We would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who supported our campaign this Christmas,’’ explains Tunbridge Wells Metro Bank Store Manager, Josh Evans. ‘Nourish Community Foodbank does an incredible job in supporting those who are most in need and we are really proud that thanks to our customers and donors, we were able to make a difference this Christmas in some small way.’’
