Oakridge Schoolchildren Visit Basingstoke Metro Bank for Financial Education
The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Colleagues from Metro Bank’s Solihull store chose to use their Day to Amaze by volunteering for Acorns Children’s Hospice – a charity providing palliative care and support to babies, children and young people aged up to 18 suffering from life threatening illnesses.
Metro Bank’s Watford store will join forces the Watford & West Herts Chambers of Commerce to host a face to face network event for local businesses at its High Street store on Friday June 24th at 10a.m.

Colleagues from the Crawley store of the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank rowed for 36 hours and raised £1201 for St Catherine’s Hospice.
Metro Bank colleagues from the Harrow store have delivered Money Zone - a financial education workshop - to year 3 and year 4 schoolchildren at the Quainton Hall School and Nursery. The aim of the complimentary workshop is to instil financial knowledge in the students from a young age.
Colleagues from the Liverpool Street Metro Bank store helped the Royal National Lifeboat Institution by hosting the charity fundraisers and their equipment in store whilst they collected donations worth £509.66 from commuters at nearby Liverpool Street Station.
