Sheffield Metro Bank’s Magic Money campaign raised £1,444.05 for The Children’s Hospital Charity.

Metro Bank colleagues volunteered to help Birmingham Dogs Home at this year’s Crufts – helping out with the stand and kids craft section for which Metro Bank donated 500 windmills, packs of crayons and financial education sheets with colouring in for kids to play with while their parents chatted with the Home staff about donations and adoptions.

Bradford Metro Bank is undertaking the Great Accumulator Challenge to trade up £30 into £3,000 for Martin House Children’s Hospice by the end of March. The store is also working with many local Bradford businesses to collect prizes for a charity fundraising auction.

In the spirit of celebrating International Women’s Day, Oxford Metro Bank will be hosting a seminar organised by Oxfordshire Women’s Forum. The seminar will focus on imposter syndrome, understanding the different ways that it can manifest itself in everyday life and sharing tools to combat it. The event will take place on Tuesday 15 March at 6pm in Metro Bank’s Queen Street store.
Post pandemic, women in business are proving very resilient with higher numbers than ever starting new businesses - 145,200 all-female founded companies were created last year, and this figure is growing by over a third each year (37.3%). It means that in total over 20% of new firms are now led by women - a record high
