Metro Bank famously loves dogs. Its stores in Birmingham, Solihull, Wolverhampton and Merry Hill have all joined forces to sponsor a kennel at Birmingham Dogs Home with Bank colleagues pledging to fundraise and volunteer for the dogs throughout 2022. The first rehoming event held in the Solihull Metro Bank store proved a great success with all the dogs who were showcased on the day now finding their forever homes except for “Wonky” Wendy.
Piccadilly Metro Bank is hosting a complimentary event for working women to celebrate International Women’s Day on Tuesday March 8th. To celebrate this year’s theme – Break the Bias – guest speakers will be exploring the importance of flexible working, gender equality and what bias in the workplace are holding businesses back.
In celebration of Fairtrade Art Trail and during Fairtrade Fortnight, the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, will display a striking handmade sculpture by students from the Solihull School The theme for this year’s Fairtrade is ‘Choose the World you Want’ and over 16 businesses will be participating by displaying artwork created by local schools from Saturday 19 February – Sunday 6 March.
