With automatic updates being fed from your bank account into your Xero accounting software, you’ll know exactly what money is going where, and you’ll be able to quickly and easily upload expenses, reducing your business’s bookkeeping workload.
With Xero’s app, you’ll be able to reconcile costs, send invoices and create expense claims while on the move.
Once we have all the relevant information, it takes 2 working days to activate a direct bank feed.
Feeds are sent daily Monday to Friday.
Transactions from before you had a feed in place won’t be sent to Xero. You’ll need to input those manually – or, if you were already using Xero, just keep inputting your transactions as normal until your feeds start up.
To connect your account to Xero, your personal information needs to match up. If the personal information you gave us is different to what you tell Xero, you’ll be asked to enter it again.

Xero has a number of pricing plans.
The fee for connecting your Metro Bank account is £1 + VAT per month, which will simply be added to your Xero subscription cost.
You can set up direct feeds from as many of your accounts as you like. You can find the terms and conditions on Xero’s website.
You need to send us a form giving Metro Bank authority to share your information with Xero:

If you use Business Internet Banking you can request feeds online through your internet banking. If you use Business Online Plus or Commercial Online Banking you need to complete the paper application form and send it back to us.
