And looking to open a trust account, please visit a Metro Bank store to apply. You can book an appointment in advance by contacting the store.

Please bring all the account trustees with you. Please also bring identification and your trust deed, along with any supporting documentation.

Metro Bank will charge a one off account opening fee of £150.

To get an active account we need a completed application form and a certified copy of the trust deed. If the trust requires registration with HMRC’s Trust Registration Service (TRS) you will also need to provide a Confirmation of Registration Document OR a valid reason for registration exemption. Finally, we need to verify the identity of key individuals related to the trust.

  • We need to know who we’re providing trust banking services for – this may include settlors, trustees, beneficiaries and account signatories
  • All trustees must complete an individual Identification form and verify their identity
  • Known beneficiaries must be named on the application form, and may need to have their identity verified depending on the type of trust
  • All account signatories must have their identities verified, too
