You can bank online or speak to one of our UK-based team on the phone anytime. Our stores are open 7 days a week – and from 8am Monday to Saturday – which just makes sense for busy businesses. You can even pop in on many of the bank holidays.

We’re only closed Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday when you’re (hopefully) taking a well-earned break.

  • 2 non-EU, Euro countries – Monaco, San Marino
  • 4 non-EU, non-Euro countries - Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland

All territories are included by their associated owning country.

If you use your card abroad, any foreign currency transaction will be converted into sterling on the day it’s paid out of your account. The exchange rate is set by MasterCard®.

What do I need to open a Business Bank Account?

Is it easy to switch everything over from my current business account?

Don’t worry, we switch everything over for you. We can switch any Direct Debits and standing orders in 7 days. Guaranteed.

Any payments to your old business account will automatically reroute to your Metro Bank account for 3 years (36 months). We’ll also let the sender know your new details. 

With this option your old business account will be permanently closed. If this doesn’t sound right for you, talk to us about a partial switch instead.
