  • What do I need to be able to set up an account with Metro Bank?

    We’ll need proof of your identity and your UK address. Here is a list of documents that provide acceptable proof.

  • Can I open an account without being in the UK to do it?

    Yes, it can be done remotely, but we’ll need the documents to be certified. Certified copies of documents from a UK solicitor / accountant OR reputable overseas solicitor / accountant, notaries or Justices of the Peace are acceptable. We must be able to verify the certifier through an online register. For exact wording please see Certification requirements. You can open both business current accounts and deposit accounts this way.

  • Can I bank online with Metro Bank business accounts?

    Yes. You can choose from a range of options for setting permissions for payment approvals to suit your processes. Plus there’s potential for integrating your banking and your accounts.

  • Will I be able to take card payments in the UK and pay them into the account?

    Yes. Our preferred partner acceptcards® can help find the most cost-effective solution for your business to accept payments from your customers, no matter where they are or how they want to pay. More about acceptcards®

  • Can I get a Business Credit Card from Metro Bank?

    Yes, but if you don’t have any credit history in the UK then we may require a deposit against the borrowing limit. Get in touch and we can discuss your options. Email us

  • Can you help me invest in property in the UK?
