Make one-off or regular UK payments, track what's going in and out of your account, view important documents and manage your cards. Business Online Banking is free and simple to use. It can also be easily accessed on our Metro Bank app.

More convenient and flexible ways to pay

Business Online Plus is a cost-effective option if you need to make large CHAPS, BACS or international payments, but you only need account access for a few people.

You can access competitive, real-time FX rates for international payments and transfers, in up to 16 currencies. This means that you can be confident that your conversion rate is fair and reflects live market conditions.

You can even lock in a guaranteed exchange rate up to 2 days in advance of your transaction, giving you more control over when payments are received by your customers.

Enhanced transaction searches let you audit reports to manage your finances more easily.

Make payments up to £50,000, with dual authorisation if you need it. We'll set up the user types on your account automatically for you in store, and you can customise these if you want – for example, setting the maximum payment a user can make.

You can access competitive, real-time FX rates for international payments and transfers, in up to 16 currencies. This means that you can be confident that your conversion rate is fair and reflects live market conditions.

You can even lock in a guaranteed exchange rate up to 2 days in advance of your transaction, giving you more control over when payments are received by your customers.

Frequently asked questions

I’ve forgotten my login details – what should I do?

If you’ve forgotten your customer number or username, call us on 0345 08 08 508 or visit a store 

If you know your customer number or username but have forgotten either your security number or your password, you can retrieve it via the self-service portal.

If you’ve forgotten both your security number and your password, call us on 0345 08 08 508 or visit a store.

I’ve changed my mobile number – how can I get text passcodes to set up a new payee on Business Online Banking?

If you get a new mobile number, you need to let us know. Call us or visit a store.

Once we know your new number we’ll send passcodes to you as usual.

What are the cut-off times for Bacs, CHAPS and International Payments when I’m using Online Banking?

For CHAPS the cut-off time is 5pm and any payments must be authorised before this.

For Bacs the cut-off time is 7pm – with payments being subject to an additional funds check after cut-off.

For International Payments the time varies according to the currency.
